Together with a partner company they are shifting gears to revolutionize the storage industry: by combining intelligent storage devices with their novel P2P software, they are building a storage cloud consisting of millions of distributed devices.

For the opportunity to join my clients development team and take the company to the next level you have the following:

Responsibilities
• Dive into our code-base (mostly Java) and take ownership of integral parts of the company
• Design, test and implement new features according to user needs
• Analyze and optimize efficiency, scalability, and stability
• Architecture and ownership of specific features, such as (among others)
• web frontend for mobile devices
• index and search for local client data
• network and communication protocol extensions

Requirements
• MA or experienced BA in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Interest in file systems, distributed systems and web engineering
• Experience in object oriented design
• Ability to read and comprehend source code quickly
• Excellent analytical abilities and a strong sense of ownership, urgency and drive
• Ability to work self-reliantly within a team
• Fluent in German and English
