Requirements:

Technical Skills:

Strong expertise in Java / JEE.

Certifications including SCJP, SCWCD or its equivalent will be an added advantage.

Expertise in either:
Web Sphere AS
Weblogic

Oracle AS, JBoss AS is essential.This includes knowledge of the internals and specifics of the AS.

Experience in frameworks like Spring and Struts is mandatory

Alternate framework like Wicket would be an added advantage. Knowledge of Blueprints is an added advantage as well

Good knowledge of Messaging patterns experience in using JMS based Message Middleware is required

Experience in using MQ is an added advantage

Understanding of SOA principles is essential; expertise in developing Web Services using Axis or some other tool kit is essential

Knowledge of ESB’s

Experience in Tibco ESB products will be an added advantage

Expertise in Oracle or MySQL will be essential

Experience in DB2 or SQL Server will be an added advantage

Expertise in using ORM tools like Hibernate is essential

Ability to write SQL and Stored Procedures and Triggers is an added advantage

Knowledge of Open source products is an added advantage. Experience in contributing to Open Source is also encouraged

Expertise in using testing tools like JUnit, MBUnit and profiling tools like JProfiler will be an added advantage. Experience in Performance improvement or Performance Testing is an added advantage too.

Knowledge of at least one of the Process frameworks like CMM, CMMi, Agile methodologies like Scrum and XP is essential.
Should be hands on person able to write code, develop proof of concepts as required. Is also expected to guide and create sample code or set standards for junior members of the team.


Soft skills

Serving in this job family requires an individual to be a self-starter, work independently or as a team member, and have strong communication skills in interfacing with business partners and the IT community. Individuals are also responsible for educating and guiding
others on architectural standards, principles, methodology and trends. Senior members are expected to mentor and coach less experienced
personnel.
