    Default Entry Level java jobs

I'm am new to java but I have a great interest and looking to continue pursuing my quest for success. How would I go about getting the most exposure in learning my craft to land a job? I have downloaded tools and compilers to my system to practice but until I get to put it in action I still feel I'm not making progress.

Thanks in advance for any information offered.

Until you you get to an intermediate level of understanding of the language, the tools and the platform, you won't be in a position to "expose" yourself. Keep studying; it helps a lot to pick a project you think will be fun to build and then go actually build it. Programming is as much practical as it is theoretical.

Note that plenty of people get "exposed" during an internship. If you're learning this on your own you need all the help you can get - friends who can recommend you, perhaps hooking up with an open source project to get your name tied to something. And luck of course. Keep checking out your local job market for that perfect entry level job offer, then throw yourself at it with the most enthusiasm you can act out. Remember that you are there to actually learn on the job, so they'll be judging you for your personality and eagerness and not your skills.
