Default future job prospects for Computer programmers in the USA

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference between programmers and "software engineers". Because at this link, the jobs in the USA for computer programmers is supposed to decline, while the jobs for "software engineers" is supposed to rise rapidly in the next 7 years. Here is the study.

Programmers is just people which write codes at all, Sometime it is called just coders. Programmers don't analyses task, don't find out the best solve, They just write codes, Software engineer is higher post then coders, but he must make many difficult work, Usually he don't write any code, he make analyses task, give future plan, separate tasks and solve between coders.
About link I have not read this article yet, But I think if you have deeply knowledge in any subject you will be is needed in other time.

Thank you for that. The people on that link seem undecided as well. I really think not even the US government knows the difference between a software engineer and programmer, since they don't list the requirements of either. I will google some more to get more opinions. thank you both and thanks for the link.

Here is a link I found about it googling "what is a software engineer". I think that government job link I gave you, the people who wrote that don't know anything about the field. This link calls programmers "software engineers". Although I agree that software engineers are probably the more senior programmers who do less coding and more supervisory work.

    Computer Software Engineer

I think the more you know, the less likely you are to be replaced by an outsourced person.
