Exclamation JDBC Spawning and Never Closing

We use a system called Wowza and it basically Red5. We have been using the jdbc connector to interact with a MySQL database via our Java application but every two days I am stuck restarting the Wowza Server because the JDBC have spawn to 2000+ objects. I noticed one of our server can last longer but it has Tiered Compiler but our other server show Server Compiler. Anyone know how to get Java to show up as a Tiered Compiler ? rather then the Server Compiler. Also anyone have issues with there java application not closing out JDBC connections to mysql ?, it very strange.

More often than not this is due to poor JDBC connection management in your code. Given you haven't provided any code it's anyone's guess where the problem lies.

    Does your app crash?
If so, what exception do you get?
Other than that, basically what doWhile says...not much we can suggest without knowing more detail, but it's unlikely to be to do with some random server setting.

Oh, and I would have written this over at OTN, but I can never seem to log on ther without the Oracle servers throwing a wobbly.
Or, put another way, crossposted at OTN.
