Problem of integration and reading of Arabic

What is the data type used in the database, VARCHAR or NVARCHAR ? In which format your application sent data to the database, ASCII or UNICODE?

I have the same problem with access database and ODBC driver and according to this there is no solution yet Bug ID: 6345277 JDBC-ODBC Bridge still does not support Unicode UTF-16

That's you pick the wrong format from NetBeans as well. Anyway nice to see that you've found the solution.

Just a suggestion, you can control the encoding from code level as well. So find more about that when you have a time.
