Start with MS-Access database which is quite easily available with "Micro soft office"Ramya:cool:

MS Access is a toy, there is no type4 driver available. Stay away from it.
OP: You can use SQL Server, MySQL, or the JAVA DB shipped with JDK 6. You should read the various JDBC tutorials to get some insights and examples.

What is JAVA DB? Do u mean APACHE DERBY? (I ve it in Netbeans. )
If yes, how to start with Apache Derby? If not how to start with Java DB?
