Default how to change oracle 10g XE http port number

    Hi All,
I am using Oracle 10g XE. It is working well. This is using port 8080.
Now i am getting problems with Tomcat running on the same port.
I want to change Oracle port number.
For this i followed a tutorial.daust_de :: Oracle XE / Apex: XE: Changing the default http port
But when i am following this tutorial i am getting a problem,

    Java Code:

        C:\WINDOWS\system32>sqlplus system@xe

        SQL*Plus: Release 10.1.0.2.0 - Production on Mi Jan 25 11:44:33 2006

Copyright (c) 1982, 2004, Oracle. All rights reserved.

        Enter password:
It is asking for password. But it is not allowing me to type.

Can any one please tell me any other way to change port number.

    I appreciate any help.

    Thanks,
    sireesha.

Default Re: how to change oracle 10g XE http port number

    Hi Sireesh,
My name is akhil and I would like to inform you that on command prompt when you are trying to enter your password and its not allowing you to do so the reason behind this is that when it comes to passwords it does not show you what you write not even the cursor mover but when you enter your correct password of "oracle10g" and press enter it will move to the next line and you will see that the tutorial of that website is correct. I am saying this because i also followed it and found no issues with it.
    have fun
    good day.
