9i and 10g mean nothing to me.
What do they signify? are they Versions of the GXXG system?
Is this a java programming question?

9i and 10g refer to the version of the Oracle database they are deploying against, in essence not really a java programming question but a "how do we make our code Oracle 10g compliant" question
