    Default Use of JSP

    Hi,

Please can you explain if jsp be used in the way php is used, as in for e-commerce website design like ebay, amazon, etc ?

I am new to programming and want to learn about building e-commerce websites.

    Thanks

Yes. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if a good portion of those sites were actually done in JSP.

i use jsp and java servlets to run my database driven (mysql) e-commerce web site. tough to beat the speed, security and flexibility of jsp/java sites.

    my opinion, of course.

    best,
    mb.

But note that the JSP should only be the front end (ie for display).
You shouldn't be putting Java code onto the JSP, that's the job of the associated servlet/business layer.
Please do not ask for code as refusal often offends.
