Getting row count
Code snippet below gets the number of records contained by the ResultSet.

Statement s = con.createStatement(); ResultSet r = s.executeQuery("SELECT COUNT(*) AS rowcount FROM MyTable"); r.next(); int ResultCount = r.getInt("rowcount") ; r.close() ;
