we are trying to use OpenGrok as a log scrapping tool. Basically, we are trying to build indexes on log files and trying to search them using OpenGrok.
I have few queries on the same:
a) Is it scalable enough to index log files and not just source code? The reason for the question is: typically log files size are in GB as opposed to size of source code files.
b) I see that it fails to index some log files. The error message in the log says that it "skipped file because analyzer didn't understand it". I see that maximum limits on the number of indexed words in a file is infinite. What does this error message indicate? Does it have something to do with file size? Can it also be related to version of ctags library? Btw, we are using ctags 5.6.
Any pointers/guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
