java programing contest
I want to get better at programing java and un-rust my logical skills. And the best way I thought to do that is to have a java programing contest. its simple, just create a program that we decided on. anyone can join! I built a website that we can upload our programs too, the website is only limited to this form at the moment. simply upload your code in .txt format and it will appear bellow. basically it will be a big data base of programs that we create. when saving the file please include your java form user name so we can communicate and give credit to people. if you have any good ideas on a program that we should create please comment.
CURRENT CONTEST: create a pig Latin converter. the user has to be able to enter text, and then the program converts it to pig latin. example: input:java is cool output: looc si avajay

As far as a "big database of programs we create", the biggest database of the simple programs that we have already created can be easily found here on this forum, which by the way is easily searchable. Anything more complex than a simple program though cannot be well represented here or by your proposed text file format especially if it represents a project worked on by many forum members and instead would require some sort of version control and code repository such as can be found on Assembla and other collaborative project management services.
