The Big Faceless PDF Library is a Java class library for creating PDF documents. The Extended Edition offers the ability to create and edit AcroForms, PDF's answer to the HTML form. Like HTML forms, PDF forms can contain text boxes, radio buttons, and can call JavaScript functions. The Extended Edition also includes a PDF reader for importing and editing, along with FDF support, verification for digital signatures and text extraction. Both variations offer full Unicode support, encryption, embedded TrueType and Type1 fonts, barcodes, hyperlinks, and spot and calibrated color.

Changes

The KeyStoreManager class was added to the viewer, which provides a management console for digital keys and certificates. The ability to submit forms to the viewer was added. HTTP and basic FDF submission are currently supported. Some support methods for form submission were added to the PDFAction and FDF classes. The PDFPage.get/setPageOrientation() method was added to quickly rotate a page by 90, 180, or 270 degrees. Features to do this to the viewer were also added. The PublicKeyEncryptionHandler.chooseRecipient() method was added to allow subclasses to automatically select a matching key.
