    Default Java Servlet Migration

    Hi,

I have an application using Servlet 2.3 and Tomcat 7.0, and i wish to migrate to Servlet 3.0. Just changing the web.xml header doesn't work, what else should i modify in my code?

    Thanks,

    Bogdi

    "Doesn't work" says absolutely nothing.

If you just changed the version then indeed it won't be enough, but when you google for an article on servlet 3.0 I'm pretty sure you can find an example web.xml to copy/paste from.

I didn't find a specific solution, not even a general solution. The error i receive, is ,, null is not a Java class". I did the research before asking on the forum and came up with nothing.

But you still don't provide anything that you can be helped with, unless you were only looking for sympathy. No configuration files to look at, no code to look at, absolutely nothing.

Did you try creating a small web application using servlet spec 3.0 from scratch in stead of jumping right in and migrating existing stuff? It might benefit you to do that so you at least have something that works to compare to.
