Okay. Choose which web service type you would like to use (SOAP, RESTful, plain XML over HTTP) and go learn how to implement that in Java then. You will probably want to investigate the JAX-WS and JAX-RS APIs, both part of the enterprise edition specification.

And by the way: Eclipse is the IDE you're using, it has no impact on the application you're making. Its a JEE application which is a standard, Eclipse is absolutely not of influence at all.

And, unless things have changed in some way recently, you can't actually check if the email address exists, you can simply check it is of a valid format and then send an email to that address with a validation link.

Unless the problem description is so poor that it actually means to lookup if an email address (or any other piece of data) already exists in a database...

I find a site that does exactly what I want, but I do not know how I could integrate ca in my apllication using a web sevice ( Verify Email Address Online - Free Email Verifier - Free Email Address Verification ).

You have an idea about it?

They have an API that you can use, subscription based ofcourse, and I am pretty sure they have a "how to use this API"-document somewhere as well.

I would bet that's more than "some". Because I know it fails on my mail server.
