    Default Openning File via Ajax

    Guys

    Does anyone know how to return/open non-html/non-xml files via Ajax?

    Basically, I am trying to retrieve a PDF file from the sever (through Servlet) into the browser and I am using Ajax for generall request/response calls.

    Can anyone help?

    P.S. apparently there is something called iframe that you can use to do the job but I dont know how to use it?
