Default Link to specific part of a Java Servlet

Ok here is what I have.

I have an html page with two frames. Each frame is made of a java servlet class. I want to be able to link from one java servlet class to a particular spot on the other java servlet class (without reloading the page).

    Thanks in advance.

I know most people like to do things with JSP but I really want to stay away from that, because the java code is fairly complicated and I feel that JSP becomes too confusing for all but the simplest tasks.

If I understand you rightly, this isn't so much a Servlet problem as an AJAX problem? Have you Googled "multi-frame AJAX" or something of the like?

So I have never used AJAX and do not know very much about it. Thanks for the tip I will look around to see if that can solve my problem and I will re-post.
