PNG Corruption Extracting From JAR
Not sure this is the correct place for this question; so apologies in advance. I'm attempting to extract some PNG files from a JAR on Windows Server 2008 R2. These images are being used with no issue inside of a web application, and are shown without errors. I have tried both WinRAR and the jar.exe that comes with the SDK to extract the images from the JAR but both seem to make the images look corrupt. And example of this can be seen by this image of a blue up arrow which appears to have certain rows of the image offset.
It would seem that the extraction process is functioning normally, ie. no errors get reported back to me. I'm wondering if instead this is some sort of schema to protect intellectual property. Or maybe it's something windows is doing to the pngs. Just curious if anyone had seen anything like this before, or might know of a fix.
