Question Done my first simple game. What next?

So I've done my first Graphical game "Battleships".
I just wanted to ask what game should i do next in Java?

    Should I do "Pong"/"Brick Breaker" , "Snake"
If there is better options than any of these its fine as long as it is fairly easy.

Thank you for your helping me to decide
and sorry for my bad english.

Here is the Battleship game(Rules button not yet finished):
    Battleship.jar

The AI is bit stupid since its completely random. I didnt havent had enough time to finish it.

Well what do you want to learn while doing your next game?

Yeah, this really depends on your interests. What kinds of games do you want to make? Do you have an end goal in mind, or are you just trying to learn?

In that case, Pong is a great next option. I'd take it slow and tackle one thing at a time though- first get a game loop going, then get something basic with rectangles working, then add sprites, and lastly worry about sound since it's more complicated than it should be.

being a programmer, the hardest thing to do is actually get music, sounds and graphics :) I take it you're not a graphics or audio artist. I always did remakes of existing retro games because of that, at least I could "borrow" the resources from the original game (often also not easy, its not like you get them in BMP and WAV formats) and just work on the code myself.

I was wondering why your nickname looked familiar. You also visit java-gaming.org right?

Also check out Freesound.org. You can find creative commons music and sound effects, and it's where I get all my sounds from. Some interesting stuff there.

You even have something to show for it! I'm jealous.

And that would be further advice: check out the articles and showcases on java-gaming.org to get ideas :)
