You're going to have to supply an example section of code that demonstrates exactly what you're doing in as few lines as possible. How are you creating your jar? How are you running it?

Basically, you should be able to put your entire gui in a JPanel, then either add that JPanel to a JFrame or a JApplet.

In a applet there is no main file because it is being run of of the Applet extension. you can do this to run the jar out side of it but I don't think this helps...<applet code="thing.bla.classfile" archive="jarfile.jar" width="---" height="---">

He is not asking how to run an applet. He's asking how to convert an applet to an application.

The OP is asking how to take an applet and modify the code to execute it as an application. This is certainly doable, even trivial given the correct setup. Please get your facts right before attempting to help.

Oh well in that case I'm sure you can change it to a JApplet easily can't you? I would think you would extend JFrame then get JApplet in and modify everything else to go through that. I'm sorry I have never used JApplet specifically before.

You shouldn't have to modify everything. Just take whatever JPanel you're adding everything to, and add that JPanel to a JFrame instead of a JApplet. Easy peasy.
