    Default New to java. Need help on books and online materials

    Hello friends,
    I am completely new to JAVA, though I have some basic knowledge about C, C++ and OOPs. I want to write the SUN certified core and advanced JAVA exams. Please inform me about which books i should refer, and any online material that I can look into. Thanks in advance.

    I want to write the SUN certified core and advanced JAVA exams.
    1. It's been a long time since Oracle bought Sun. There are currently no Sun certifications for Java.
    2. Java is not an acronym. The word is Java, not JAVA.

    David Holzner Java is old but Might get it inexpensive and straight forward amazingly so right up to speed fast.
