Default How come i can check my version of Java on all my browsers but IE 11?

IE 11 is the only browser that says i need to download Java when i try to check to see if i have the latest version.

At this point the only thing I can assume is that you are using a 64 bits Internet Explorer and a 32 bits Java runtime is ultimately installed. Then your 64 bits Internet Explorer will still not have a valid Java plugin and so will keep moaning that you don't have a Java runtime.

I so hate to make guesses, but without any actual system information that's what I have to do.

So it recommends using the 32 bit. I followed those instructions on how to see if you are using 64 or 32 IE, but mine didn't say either way when I clicked the about IE tab.

I'm sure Google can help you though. Or perhaps if you click through some of the other links in the java.com site.

Just to note: this is a Java programming forum, not a Windows tech support forum. You're way off-topic.

I installed the 64 bit too, and it still says i need to download the latest version when i try to verify on IE 11. I might just uninstall Java all together there really isn't any need for it these days.
