What are the steps to creating shapes in applet?

and can any one show me an example code of 4x4 square in applet.

Check out the Java Tutorials in my signature. Especially the part on painting and graphics. But I recommend you start off slowly and learn the basics as your experience will be much more enjoyable. Interesting though how so many who don't know Java want to jump right into doing GUI's, graphics and such. There must be something magical about it.
