applets on mac what´s going on?
My photo slide applets works perfect on most pc, but there is a problem on mac computers. My, relatively new, macbook shows the photos, but on my old G4 mac I can’t make the applet to appear…. Even after several times re-installing the java software. I get notes from others having simular problems. The console points to a jvm version problem but the mac page and sun page are not very informative.
Does anybody know what is going on and why I can’t find any info on this?
I do not know even what might go on, on platforms such as linux!

I simply care for people that have a G4 or any mac to be able to see all of my web page (or on linux etc.)

the reality is a ´little´ different
and by the way the whole idea of java is that things work independently of what platform...... the reality is a ´little´ different

maybe G4 doesn't recognize/supported by Sun MicroSystems.... When it comes to applets

Try to browse some articles about it.... Im pretty sure you're not only the one who had experience about it......

yes, sukatoa, there are quit some.....
and they are not very optimistic
basically talking about an arrogant
attitude of apple´s boss towards
java and its developers
though the picture in general is not very
clear to me...
who is accusing who (apple/ sun)
