    Default .jar read .dat file

    Hello,

ive got a problem. I have a .jar file that loads a bigger graphics but the graphic is read out of a .dat file.

it works locally but if I add the applet for my jar to my html file and have all three things, the html the jar and the .dat in the same folder, still it doesnt work. It just shows up the jar in the window as it shows up if I try to run the .jar locally without the .dat in the same folder.
So that makes me assume I have to make the .jar search for the .dat with an extra code in the applet. How do I do this? I just cant find any way after searching for hours lol. Im sorry.

I hope I get an answer.

    Vazz

    thanks

Too much trouble to actually click the link and read through the section linked to, huh?

How are you loading and executing the applet? How does the applet read the contents of the .dat file?
