Using applets how to upload image from client to server.

How to create "select path" option in the applet. The path should be from our local system not any URLs.

both are same... my question is how to add an image from our system (for example, when we signup for any website we used to upload our image) using applets? Is it possible or not?

Please clarify your question - and please do explicitly, as the keywords you use could mean many things in different contexts - you haven't said what the 'website' is, what you mean by 'system', or what you mean by 'signup'...do you want to transfer an image from a local file system (client) to a website you wrote (server)? A 3rd party server? And did you read the link I posted above?
