Unable to view japanese in java applet
Hi there,

英単語クイズ


Im having issues with viewing japanese in the above applet (in the url), if you select a rank, you will see what im talking about. Do i have to have a japanese window or are there any java packages that can read japanese in the applet? Please help!Thank you so much in advance!

Hi,

I'm having the same problem with Arabic text, if u change the Regional setting in ur PC to the Jap. then it will works, but I need to run the Applet regardless of the PC's setting.

I've changed the Locale.setDefault to Arabic, but nothing changed

pls let me know if u have solved the problem

Hi Roger,

Good to know that it worked with u : )

Have u used the setDefault method or by changing the REgional setting ?

As the setDefault is not working with me, and I want the applet to be independent from the PC's setting.

Pls help me, may be u have changed some other setting in ur application..

I'm really stuck : (

Hi bedoor

I got it to work because i just changed the regional settings which effected windows to display some jap too not just only the website. So sorry that i couldnt help you much in this as im not developing a web alone or standalone etc..like that.
