    Default uploading files

I understand that Applets have some issues with the security. Can I use applet to upload the files?

My idea is to make an applet where visitors/users will upload the files form their machines on to the web server.

    Thanks for your time.

If applet is signed and it passes the JVM Warning in user side it can read file from user hard disk as well as make socket connection to the server from where it was downloaded. I think it is possible.
I remember this feature was used by geocities as well as hemestead.com home page designer.
dont worry newbie, we got you covered.
