    Default New to Java Applet

Hello, I am new to Java applets and I am supposed to create an applet that loads 52 card from an Images file and then shuffle them by using a random number generator, then it must display 10 cards in 2 rows. What is the best way to go about this. Again, I am new to Java applets.

What does your application have to do with Java applets?
It sounds like an ordinary desktop application with some GUI and some logic.

Break the project up into small simple steps, design and write the code for each step. Compile and test it.
When it works, move on to the next step.
