    Default Pop up window on a JApplet

    So I am looking to create a Japplet and put it on a website but need to know how I should handle pop-ups. I plan to have a .txt in same directory and read info and display it in a JList on the JApplet. How would I handle a pop up window in a JApplet? Im going to use this for a search box. I wanted to know if I should use a JDialog or do I have to pop up another JApplet?
