Java Game Launching Problem
Hello,
This is my 2nd thread on this forum.
I would really like some help from this java community.
We have created a website called GameOn247.com and we’re having some issues.
We’re trying to pinpoint what the problem is.
I would like to ask you guys for some help.
Please follow these steps and let me know your results.
ANY help is greatly appreciated!
1. Go to : GameOn247.com
2. Quickly register.
3. Try to launch the “Black Jack” game from the GO247 page
Found here: August 18 2011 win Tournament prizes for free playing sports picks & Vegas games to become Today's Champion.
4. Report your findings
Example
Operating System : Mac Lion
Browser : Safari
Error Message : Invalid Plug In
What Happened : Game didn’t launch
Did Black Jack load successfully : No

And the same suspicions that this is simply an attempt to get traffic (and registrations) to the OPs website...

Operating System : Win 7
Browser : Chrome
Error Message : none
What Happened : Game did launch
Did Black Jack load successfully : yes
But the problem is on Mac OS.
I had registered a while ago, I play there sometimes.
lol that was not hard buncha whiners.
His thread keeps getting closed because someone mistakenly thinks it is spam. How is a guy supposed to get help when the thread keeps getting closed on him? He just needs 1 or 2 of us with a mac to test it, not everyone.
[sarcasm]Whoever keeps closing the thread is RUDE because it is a legit problem. Poor guy just wants some help...opps sorry we don't like you, take your links and shove them, thread closed....lol[/sarcasm]Last edited by Spidey1980; 08-18-2011 at 07:16 PM.

It looks quite a bit like spam. "Come help me, all you have to do is register for this other website". Seems shady, and there are really easy ways to make it seem less shady.
By asking an actual question, or posting code, or making a small test section of his website available to us so we don't have to register? How to Ask Questions the Smart Way

Not to mention the fact that many of us are doing this from work or school, where games and annoying ads might be frowned upon. The OP could create an SSCCE program and post it on a page that doesn't contain extra crap like game logos or advertisements. He could then explain the problem he's having, and people would be completely willing to help.
Instead, saying "Here's my webpage, go register and report back here!" just seems rude and spammy, not to mention the crossposting (which the OP has been told about before), so it annoys people. Annoyed people are not usually very helpful.
