Basic Applet

I need to make a basic applet in a game format. I want some user interaction. I have a template where the user moves text from left to right. I had in mind where the user would move the text with eyes attached under it to the center, and when it's there the eyes change color. It is just a basic idea I had in mind

Little over a month later, what have you got so far? I'm interested in seeing the progress and if you don't mind, some code.

Most of the people start with a clever mind. They have fantastic view of the problem. But start work in top level. I think that's wrong. Start with a simple step, and go ahead. Try something in lower level, you may in right way in a shorter period.
