Default How to have multiple "Pages" in an Applet?

Since I had such success and speed with my last question, I thought I would ask another one here...

Again I am new with working with Applets, they all of a sudden popped up for the course I am taking...

I haven't started coding the program yet because I am unsure of how to start.

I need to have an Applet with multiple pages, including an index page for all of the pages...

These pages would be loaded on button clicks. There also needs to be a start page with a button that says start to go to the first page. Then all of the pages will have a back and next button on them and a button to get to the index page.

What I don't understand is how to even do this? Is there a method of function that does?

Would I need to just create multiple Applets, each page being an Applet? Then on the button click load that Applet in the same Applet pane? Is this even possible?

    I appreciate any help.

I think you're looking for a CardLayout. Google is your friend.

I probably spend at least a couple of hours searching google about this.

I came across something about a card layout on google.
Isn't a card layout one that has tabs at the top of the window?

I need buttons to switch them, can you do that with a card layout?

ok, thanks for the tip on card layout, did some more google searching on it and found a site and a thread on here on how to do it with buttons in NetBeans.

I think I can figure it out now, I appreciate your response.

when i seen the Sun tutorial page they use a drop down box or tabs at the top to switch the cards not buttons thats what confused me.
