Java Plugin 1..6.0.24 fails to draw stock chart with msg: "Error: Click for details

I've been having a problem for some time when trying to view a stock chart from a website. Java logo started in a pop-up window followed by a blank page with an error message "Error: Click for details" on the top-left conner of the window. Clicking it opens the Java console and displays the following information:

My system is installed with Windows 7 (64 bit), IE8 (32 & 64 bit) and Firefox (Namoroka 64 bits). Via the menu "Tool/Manage Add-ons" of IE8, I can see all the Java Plug-ins as shown in the uploaded attached list below. Both IE8 and Firefox have this problem when I logon as Administrator.



I did offline install for both the 32 bit (jre-6u24-windows-i586-s) and 64 bit (jre-6u24-windows-x64) versions downloaded from the Java website: Java Downloads for All Operating Systems. I remove the old versions first before re-installing the new ones several times but still facing the same issue.


However, when I logon as another account user (Eddy, with Administrators Privileged Group), IE8 and Firefox have no problem drawing the stock chart with the same set of Java Plug-ins as shown above.

For the good case here, notice that the "Exception: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: ChartApplet.class" does not occur at all.

All together there are 4 users accounts in my PC; 2 accounts are OK and the other 2 accounts (especially newly created) are facing this problem.

One other thing perhaps worth mentioning; the error does not seem to happen only to the Runtime version jre-6u24. If you do a Google search with "Java error. click for details" you will see a list of hits of this error message and the Java Console displaying "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException" with various previous jre versions, and loading of Applets from many different websites.

It is strange that the problem occurs in some user accounts and yet not in other accounts! In my opinion, I don't think it is a deployment problem at the server side; otherwise the problem would have happened for all user accounts. Neither it is the browser problem as it happens both in IE & Firefox. Also just tested with Google Chrome, the problem persists.

Could it possible be the Jre Runtime problem where the loading of Applets and their data intermittently at some point is prohibited even with Administrator right?

Has any one ever faced this problem? Any help will be much appreciated.

Further to my last post on this issue of "Error. Click for detal" and folllowed by "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException" when launching an Applet with jre-plug-in, I notice that this similar problem has reported many times on many Java-related Forum websites without hardly any reponse, not even from Oracle's Java technical or expert team. This kind of problem has not only been reported quite often in many Java forums but also has been there for quite many years remained unsolved. Searching Google, I could see many hits of this problem, and some even dated back to 2006. You will know what I mean if you google the above error messages as keywords

Wondering why Java Support Team from Oracle is not responding to this problem. Or they just assume that the problem does not lie with Java Plug-in at all, as the problem is intermitent and may even go away with one user account login. As far as I know no user so far has yet reported the strange behaviour of this problem that it does not work in one group of logon user accounts and yet work in another group of accounts - all in a same system as I had reported in my last post. I hope at least, with logical reasons and answers to those questions that were posted in my last post, they can assert that it is not a Java Plug-in problemm, but some areas outside Java such as settings in browsers (but it happens in all browsers), network parameters, access deny, or user's logon previlegde (but it happens to Built-in Administrator logon) and so forth.

Using Java Console Panel, I have enabled trace and logging for both good and bad cases.

Notice that the following lines are present in the good case, but not in the bad case:

The link below is another post on a chess application using Applet. It got the same kind of error message "Error. Click for details" followed by java Console output "java.lang.ClassNotFoundException" exactly the way as I described in my first post.

I mentioned before this error can be intermittent. As was described in the last few posts of this chess application thread, the problem occurred in the morning and latter disappeared at night.

Also in the section "Similar Threads" at the bottom of this page, the first thread titled " Error: Click for details message when using browser " is another Java Applet based application facing the same kind of problem.

No reply is received so far :( . It seems that either Oracle's Java Expert Team is not visiting this forum at all or is not effectively supportive enough in helping to solve this problem. Just can't imaging this problem can be left unresloved for years ! Can anyone advise how to bring this problem to the team's attention? It seems like this forum has not been very helpful !
