Hi,
I have a JApplet which connects to the database directly with no servlets in between. It runs perfectly in appletviewer but when i run it in the browser i cannot connect to the database. Where exactly should i place the my-sql-connector to run in the browser?Please advise as soon as possible.
First Do you have some exertions? Can you show your html page, where you to set applet.
Second you must create verify certificate for applet.
Place the driver on the classpath - both on the server where the applet resides and in the applet code in html. You will also need to sign your applet
Hi im sorry for replying so late... I solved this issue just last week. I had to make some changes to the java policy file and also place the my-sql connector in the correct path i.e jre/lib/ext folder.
