Default All applets fail to start

know this might not be the best place for this type of question but cant find any info anywhere..

been starting to learn java, know a fair amount of c++, and wanted to try applets but i realized no applets work for me at all, even the java test on java.com...

i get an empty box with "Error click here for details" and the details say
    load: class testJava2_1/TestVMApplet.class not found.
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: testJava2_1.TestVMApplet.class

    ... 9 more
    Exception: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: testJava2_1.TestVMApplet.class
can anyone help me figure the issue?
ive already checked the java.com checklist thing and all plugins and latest version and etc. are all good but still get nothing...

also my main browser is firefox but ie does the exact same thing, that error details seems like a connection problem but i have no other problems with my internet or anything :-/

I would try disabling any Antivirus/Firewall applications. If that doesn't do it, try uninstalling Java, running CCleaner, and then reinstalling it. Hope that helps.
