applet with database connectivity

hi....
I m trying to create an applet with database connectivity. I am using MS Access as my database....... and i am using netbeans IDE to create applet... If i am creating applet in a java application of Netbeans means its working well in applet viewer...... But if i am creating in a java web application, then applet is not run the databasee codes in html or jsp pages.......... that means it not displayed anything from the db....... how to solve this.........

As far as I know netbeans doesn't have any such feature.

Oh, you can pass by signing if you just create an additional servlet which connects your database ;) By the way, it is more usual than stright db connection :cool:

applet <-> servlet <-> db
