    Default help with onclick

Forgive me if this is going in the wrong category...

I use the java "onclick" command in my html to control the new browser box that opens. The problem is if someone right clicks on the link to open a new window, they get a new window with a 404 error!

    Here's the html:
    Java Code:
     can't post it?
This works when people click on the link, but not when they right click, which some people are used to doing if they want to open the link in a new window.

Is there a way to fix this?

ARGGHHHH I've got to figure out how to post the code because I keep getting this message:
"To be able to post links or images your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 1 posts.
Please remove links from your message, then you will be able to submit your post."

ok, here's my attempt to post the line of html again:

    <* onClick="MyWindow=window.open('http COLON //www DOT mydomain DOT com/special-page.htm','page75','toolbar=no,location=no,directo ries=no,status=no,menubar=no,scrollbars=no,resizab le=no,width=200,height=220'); return false;" target="_new" href="http COLON /www DOT mydomain DOT com/special-page.htm">anchor text</*>

Replace the "*"s with "a"s, and the DOTS with "." :)

hmmm... I guess I didn't think very hard before posting...
OK, I think the "onclick" command is actually javascript, but I thought that was part of java, though it doesn't require any programming...
Is there a javascript category here, or is this java programming only...
Sorry if I asked a bad question, or if I should have posted it in another area.

BTW, is "Fubarable" based on the military term "FUBAR"?

I hope that's not the kind of programming you do... :) perhaps it is the kind of questions you have to answer. :)
