    Default Noob button question.

I want to make an Java programm with a button in it. That's all. But I can't find any tutorials on it. I have wordpad. Could someone give me a tutorial or help me out a bit. I found some code and saved it as button.java but when I clicked it some programm called JavaEditor opened and gave me lots of errors.

Start by reading Sun's Java tutorial to understand the basics about code structure, compiling e.t.c first.

Read the JButton API and you will find a link to the Swing tutorial on "How to Use Buttons".
