Applets and serial ports question
Hi everyone. I am new to java and have a question. I was wondering if java applets can be used to access a clients serial ports. I have a USB glucose meter that I have the protocols for that I can send comes to and recieve all the records from. Is it possible to have a client download an applet, the applet communicate with the meter and then get the results back to the web page? If so, does anyone know of any good examples for creating and using applets, reading and writing to a serial port, or if I am lucky both of them together. :)
Thanks For your time!
