    Default Problem launching Java applet

    I'm running Linux Mint 6 (Ubuntu 8.10) with all of the Java 6 updates installed. I'm trying to run JDownloader a Java program. When I launch the JDownload.jar file with either a right click "Run with 'Sun Java 6 Runtime' " or "java -jar" in the terminal, it starts up, says it needs to download some updates then does it all over again without launching the final program. Anyone have a solution for this? Thanks.

    Default

    Install JDK (or sun-java-devel package),then if it doesn't load anyway,add line into $HOME/.bashsrc:

    Java Code:
    export $JAVA_HOME=<path to jdk>

    Default

    put into your applet
    src=""http://java.com/js/deployJava.js"
    and use
    deployJava.runApplet(attributes, params, version);
    version must be ...
    var version = '1.6' ;
