What could be causing the browser to close?
I created two different Java applets, uploaded them to two different websites, and asked some people to try them. On one person's computer, clicking on the link that led to the page with the applet caused Internet Explorer to close immediately. This happened with both applets.
At first I thought it might have to do with their being unsigned ActiveX controls, but I checked the IE security settings on the computers at my house and they are set to disable unsigned ActiveX controls, yet I can download the applets here. I don't think there could be a stricter setting.
My computer and the computer with the problem both have Internet Explorer Version 7.0.5730. The problem computer has an older version of JRE, but I think this would allow the page to load but maybe not the applet.
What could be causing the browser to close every time?
Thanks

I had a similar problem in the past...
....and the solution I found was to un-install Java Runtime and re-install again. That seemed to have solved the problem...
