Starting out on a 2D game

So, I would like to make a 2D java game but I can't find a download for the packages that are shown on this webpage: Creating 2D Action Games with the Game API

And if there is a better package that I could use then please point me towards it. :)

I have no experience with this, but your own link says that your gameApi is included in MIDP 2.0. Looking for this it appears to be included in Java Platform Micro Edition Software Development Kit 3.0 for Windows (Download Java Platform Micro Edition Software Development Kit 3.0 for Windows RR).

I didn't find a separate MIDP-download though, apart from Korean.

Surely a safer choice. I had the idea that maybe you could extract the package with the five (?) classes from the toolkit, but that is an unelegant idea.
