    Default Aeneas, the Rookie Wannabe

    Hi guys,
    You can call me Aeneas or Troy. I'm sort of at Rookie status, but I am working my butt off trying to change that.

    LIFE STORY:
    I took 2 years of Computer Programming in high school, and learned VB.NET, Java, and a tiny bit of C++. That was back in 2003-05. Afterwards, I took about 5 years off.

    NOW:
    However, I have recently had a random explosion of motivation to start programming again (Since August, so about 2 months).

    My brother left me a shelf-row full of programming books when he moved out. I have been practicing PHP, Java, JSP & Servlets, Qt C++, Javascript, SQL, and HTML 5 pretty much non stop.

    I couldn't get Visual C++ to install. .NET 4 won't install.

    I love Java, though. I used Netbeans in Highschool way back 8 years ago, and I don't think I realized just how awesome it is. I think more than anything, I just like how the libraries are named. Its funny to work with a language named after coffee. And its fun!

    I have this idea in my head that I'm going to make a robot or a video game or something. Crazy right?

    I am currently relearning Java(and doing more than I did in high school in just 2 short months), so alot of this information is fresh in my mind. I hope I can help out and learn a little in the process!

    Welcome! I hope you won't take this badly, but don't feel compelled to post a reply in every thread you read. Stick with the questions that are well within your own comfort zone.
