Greetings!

Hello I am Nyminux, I am wanting to learn programming. I play RSPS (RuneScape Private Servers) and am interested in one day creating my own, but that is not possible without this vital skill, I am also wanting to learn this as I love computers, and I think this would be a decent skill to have under my belt. I have asked for advice about starting because I never really knew where I would start, my friend suggested books - so I purchased one today! It's called 'Beginning programming with Java for dummies'. It looks like an informative read I fit the reader specification. So I wanted to have somewhere to ask questions and discuss my research, where better than a community forum?! If anyone has any more tips about starting please let me know!
