Hi all
Hi, I am quite an "old" (in both ways) programmer who has just recently found its way to Java and I adapted it as my new favorite. ;)
I thought about publishing part of my work here to help others and be helped by them in developing applications for my current microcontroller project. After spending three weeks of maddening search for a way to communicate with an AN2131 controller on a 64-Bit Windows 7 system may be someone is interested in the solutions. Of course the basic answer is: Java is not really well suited for that purpose, BUT... if there was support by the manufacturerers it would be quite easy, even with this language.
So my question to the folks is: Is this forum the right place for that and where would it fit best to elaborate? Is there a good and simple way to upload code snippets and classes here?
Sorry for the dumb questions, but this forum is quite large and I used the search for "microcontrollers", "AN2131", etc. and came up with nothing.

Re: Hi all
Thanks, but sadly I cannot post there... It says on the category description: "Only forum staff can post to these forums!"

Re: Hi all
If you're looking for peer reviews, the right place is this Reviews / Advertising .
If you have a specific question related to your code, then depending on the level of the question, either New to Java or Advanced Java.
There are also separate forums for more specialized issues. When in doubt, post in the place that seems most correct to you and a moderator will move the thread if needed.
Whenever you post code, use the code tags -- you'll find details about all the tags in the forum FAQs.
Thank you for observing that the tutorials are meant to be reserved for staff posts; the forum software doesn't (yet) enforce that. so we sometimes have to move threads out from there. And welcome to the Java forums!
