Welcome to Java Forums. :)
I believe that you are in right direction. Read a lot and practice them along the way. You can find lots of stuff on the web. If you stuck on something think about it from the scratch several times. Still you are lost with it, post it here and lets discuss it.
Good luck!
Thank you, i'm actually quite excited about learning it.
I've looked at the Tutorial section and there seems quite alot. Could you refer me to any tutorials (from anywhere) that are ideal for beginners.
Much appreciated.
Actually you can take a start with the Suns' tutorial. That's the most suitable one for beginners. You can find a link in my forum signature.
And also search the forum, you can find lots of related threads discuss about some books.
By the way, better to use notepad and command prompt for your learning initially. Later time you can select an IDE.
Thanks for the help, much appreciated. :)
You are welcome. :)
