Hello everyone
My name is Matthew and I hold a B. A in media and communications(major in multimedia design).
I am now doing the technical stuff in the Masters degree - programming, database design and computer arcitecture.
The textbook for my Java programming unit is Objects First with Java by Barnes and Kölling.
The authors have also developed and added a learning application, including tutorials, called Blue J.
I find that environment very helpful.
I think Java programming is fun and I have learned the basic stuff by now - classes, fields, constructors, methods...
However, Java is a great challenge and I'm still a beginner.
There is so much information to digest and I sometimes feel like I'm standing in a gigantic library,
looking for one book, wondering where to start. But I can't see any titles on the sleeves.
In my assignments, I encounter the most basic problems.
I hope I'm not the only one wanting to bash my head in the wall
for using hours on solving the simplest problems.
I am happy that I found this forum and I certainly going to take a good
browse through the threads to see if I can find answers to my questions.
Cheers :)
