    Default Hello -

    Hello everyone -

I am a mid-career IT guy who has been working in different aspects of the IT industry, I have done a few years of development (mostly VB6), a little bit of .NET, hacked a few PHP. But the majority of my life I have been mostly in infrastructure work - a.k.a. desktop support, server administration, networking and etc. So I pretty much miss development - so I have been juggling and trying to figure out which languages I would like to jump into. Have been juggling kind of between PHP and .NET but I did take a Java class a few years ago and I really enjoyed it. But I wasn't sure what the demand/expectation of the Java languages would be. And I have been looking around for hosting and I am not even sure where to start! I did download and install Netbeans! (I am very reluctant to even go the PHP route due to no true IDE and would like to get into the development world whether it is .NET or Java - but I have to admit I am more leaning to Java) So any suggestions or guidance would greatly be appreciated - I have googled for different Java hosting - but not sure which reputable host would be good. You find plenty of reviews for PHP hosting and .NET hosting but not much on JSP.

Thanks and have a great week!

P.S. Also what does the future hold for Java developers? Are there a decline or is there still a demand for them?
